Access Technology Institute offers original access technology training courses for blind and visually impaired students, as well as the trainers who teach them. Every course is developed in-house by ATI and designed to work seamlessly with screen readers and other access technology.
Our training is concept-driven. Instead of memorizing keyboard commands, students learn how Windows and applications work. We teach concepts, controls, and navigation strategies that can be applied to any task or program. This approach builds adaptable skills that go beyond a single application.
Course Formats
ATI courses combine exploration with concept-driven training. Students receive training materials in a variety of formats. Every enrollment includes written and recorded documentation created by ATI. These materials are part of the course itself, giving students the ability to review lessons as often as needed.
Who Takes ATI Courses
Our courses serve blind and visually impaired students beginning their technology journey, trainers who need structured lesson plans, rehabilitation centers and agencies delivering technology instruction, and employers who want staff to use access technology effectively.

What Makes ATI Courses Different
All course content is created by ATI. We do not purchase or repackage outside materials. Every course includes original written and recorded documentation. Our concept-driven instruction teaches how software works and how to access applications using Windows controls, not just which keys to press. Students receive class documentation in multiple formats. they study them for each class and keep them for later review.
