A two-part command area directly beneath the Title Bar in most Microsoft applications. It replaces menus with a tab bar and ribbon.

The Ribbon Interface replaced menus in most Microsoft applications.

The Ribbon Interface is two window elements that span the display horizontally directly beneath the Title Bar.

The top control is a tab bar. The tab bar has tab controls that are clicked or selected to show the related ribbon directly beneath the ribbon tabs.

The Ribbon is the second interface. It is directly beneath the tab bar and has commands related to the selected tab.
